Climbing
Lead by professional climber Brette Harrington and certified IFMGA climbing guides, we will take you on a tour of the most spectacular cliffs in Sardinia. Whether you’ve never climbed before and are ready to delve into the perfect introductory adventure, or you’re a 5.13 climber looking to sample some of the best limestone in the world, Ascent Climbing Trips will provide the journey of a lifetime. With 3 experienced guides and multiple vans, every day has the option to be catered to your liking. Families can take advantage of different activities every day, while focused climbers can hone in on the perfect crags. The sheer number of cliffs, coastal access and amazing villages make Sardinia the perfect location no matter what your skill level is.

Itinerary
Day 1
Travel from Cagliari to the picturesque lagoon of Pedra Longa. We’ll enjoy a lunch of Sardinian specialties upon arrival and climb on the towers above the Mediterranean Sea. Take pleasure in the impressive coastline as waves crash underneath you. Enjoy a fresh dip in the crystal clear sea only steps away from the climbing.
In the evening we will make our way to the quaint costal town of Santa Maria Navarrese for check in at the Lanthia Resort and enjoy our first dinner together.
Day 2
Wake up to breakfast at the private beach of the Lanthia. Then we’ll embark on a climbing adventure on perfect limestone. The views are spectacular and give you a glimpse of the coastal adventure to come. Dinner at our favorite restaurant and Italian Gelato finish off a perfect Sardinian climbing day.
Day 3
Start your day with a nourishing breakfast before we take Private boats to Cala Goloritze, where one of the most iconic pinnacles in all of Italy sits atop the most breathtaking beach in the Mediterranean. Deep Water Soloing and rock climbing await! Jump into the crystal clear water, experience the magic of snorkeling and relax in the sun. Afterwards we’ll continue up the coastline to the town of Cala Gonone where we’ll have dinner and check in at the Hotel Costa Dorada.
Day 4
A relaxing hike past an amazing beach brings us to a limestone canyon filled with beautiful stone. Experience a climbers dream as you sample one incredible route after another. If your forearms need a break, take kayaks out and explore the gorgeous coast or simply relax at the beach a stones throw away.
If you’re in the mood for another adventure entirely, an extraordinary Via Ferrata awaits. Wander high amongst the coastal sea cliffs and grottas. Drop off and Pick up via private boat.
Tonight you have the opportunity to explore Cala Gonone and enjoy dinner on your own. There are numerous amazing options on the Main Street of the charming coastal town only 100 feet away from the hotel.
Day 5
Climb at another incredible seaside cliff. Press your feet into water worn pockets and grasp the calcified tufas for a unique and athletic style of climbing. This crag offers world class routes of all levels. We’ll head back to the hotel to freshen up before embarking on a culinary adventure to one of the areas best agriturismo’s perched on a cliff high above the Sea. A 7 course meal of local delicacies will tantalize your tastebuds while the sunset glimmers off the water below.
Day 6
Enjoy a cappuccino and breakfast before we gear up for the final climbing adventure. Depending on your plans transport to the Cagliari airport will be available, or continue your journey on Italy’s incredible island. Arrivederci!
Hotels and lodging
Spend the first two nights in the charming town of Santa Maria Navarrese at the Lanthia Resort. Nestled between lush forest and a private beach the Lanthia is an amazing place to recharge from the days activities.
Then travel up the coast to the quaint port town of Cala Gonone. Hotel Costa Dorada is just 20 meters from the sea and walking distance to all the restaurants in town.

From the lush mediterranean climate and abundant seafood, Sardinian cuisine encompasses fresh and unique flavors. Enjoy fine dining, impeccable wines, and gourmet gelatos on this culinary oasis.

Planning Your Arrival
We will meet at the Cagliari Airport at 9am on the 23rd. Further information will be provided upon request.
Concluding Your Trip
Our trip will end at 12:00 pm on the 28th, with time to freshen up before departing. If you have a flight booked out that evening we will happily take you to the Cagliari Airport in our private shuttle. Please schedule your flight after 5 pm. If you would like to extend your stay we have a list of recommended hotels for you to choose from. If you would like to continue your stay at Hotel Costa Dorada please let the reservation agent know you’re with Ascent Climbing Trips and you may be able to avoid switching rooms altogether.
